FoodBank Penang was initiated by three volunteers from Taman Sri Nibong in July 2007.
Their Mission Statement is "Nobody Will Go To Bed Hungry".
It's main objective is to collect food and essential items such as adults and children's diapers from donors and distribute to various needy Homes. Donors can either call up the volunteers to collect the food or send it to the volunteers' house.
They also try to organize functions such as Garage Sales and yearly Charity Dinner for the less fortunate people.
As FoodBank Penang has limited resources, volunteers are most welcome and help is needed to enable the organization to be made known to the public.
